Tropical Storm Fay
Well, I believe I promised a blog every Saturday, and today is Saturday! Yay! At this very moment, I'm talking to a pen pal in Sweden, watching the storm outside, doing German homework, listening to music, and, of course, blogging. I'm quite the multitasker, aren't I?
Great, now the closed fireplace in my room is leaking. My stereo got a little wet. Noo! Anything but the stereo! Don't worry, it'll live.
I should probably finish my German homework. I've been on the same question for almost an hour now. Hehe...I'm easily distracted by shiny objects. Yay for shiny objects!
I can't think of anything to post right now. I'll probably go and talk to my pen pal some more, and DDR. Yes, DDR is now a verb.
Liebe,
Caity

My Haitus
A lot has happened, but I'll paraphrase it so my blog won't take over an hour to read. I'm sure some people out there are relieved!
I recently turned fifteen on July 30. I can drive now! Too bad I don't have a driver's license. But I do have a shiny car. It makes me super happy. It's a 1997 850 Volvo, if anyone cares. My friend, Jacki, named it Jumbie. Looong story of how that name came to be.
I will now talk about my school schedule. This next section is actually on my live journal, just to let you know.
Honors English 10:
I love this class and hate it at the same time. How? I don't know. Maybe it's because the teacher is funny and sarcastic, and the work is painful. I hate analyzing literature, because I can't do it! I do not know how interpreting In Cold Blood will benefit me in the future. If you can, please tell me.
Honors Chemistry:
I. Hate. Science. Whether if it is biology, chemistry, physics, physical, I hate every branch of science. I think the only exciting thing in this class is when we saw sodium blow up by being put into water.
AP US History:
I was a little skeptical about this class at first. Maybe it was because it's a college equivalency course? That has to be it. But I LOVE the teacher! He was terrifying at first, but I now realize that he's hilarious. Even though he says one thing, admits that he lied, and I find out later that he was telling the truth, he makes everyone laugh. Sometimes by picking on certain students (don't worry, they don't mind), and sometimes by making fun of certain events in history.
Health:
At first I was a little scared about this class, because my first impression of the teacher wasn't a good one. Every time I met her, she was angry at someone. But when I entered her class on the first day, she made everyone in the room laugh. I'll be sad when the semester ends and I leave her class forever.
Algebra II/Trig:
I'm not that sure about Algebra II yet. I already knew the teacher since she's also the scholar's bowl coach, but math is just...math. I like it (and I can hear everyone booing at me), but I usually can't wait to get out of the class. That could also be because it means only two more classes till the end of the day.
German III:
I've had the same teacher now for 3.25 years. I love German, but that's only because I love to learn new languages. I dream of being an interpreter or a translator one day. Yes, there is a difference between the two!
Art 1:
I'm scared of this class. No, it's not because I'm chromophobic (the fear of colors), but because I CAN'T DRAW!! I love the teacher though. On the hallways, she always asks me how I'm doing and stuff like that. She's extremely nice, and she plays music in the classroom! Yay for music!
Classes I'll be taking next semester:
Driver's Ed:
Woohoo! I get to drive a car to pass a class! That might not be a good thing though...
Scholar's Bowl:
I love this extra-curricular activity, so I'm sure I'll love the class. I even heard there's only eight people in the class! Yay!
That's a lot, isn't it? I'm use to it. I'm hoping my schedule next year will include two foreign language classes instead of one. Should I take French or Spanish? I'm sorting of leaning toward Spanish...
Tomorrow I get to go to an all-day outdoor concert called En Fuego! Yay! But with the threat of Tropical Storm Fay...I don't know how that is going to end up. Please cross your fingers and pray that it does not rain!
I'm hoping that in the future I may be able to type half of it in German (don't worry, the exact translation will be on here!). I don't know why I want to do that. Maybe because I want to increase my ability of the German language? Who knows...
In the future, I'm going to try to update every Saturday. Yes, I know this is Friday. I just felt like blogging before I forgot everything. This means that I might put up a blog tomorrow! Yay!
Until next time,
Liebe,
Caity
